‘I was skeptical about feeding dogs a plant-based diet, but after digging into it, I became a supporter. Lisette and Rick explain in this book that nothing has to be compromised in terms of food quality, palatability and health for our four-legged friends. Highly recommended and great to enjoy by the dog as well the caretaker. Reducing animal suffering and therefore eating less animal products is the future for humans and animals.’

'Het is een wat je noemt doortimmerd boek geworden. We laten het aan de geschiedenis over om te zien wat er van wordt maar dat het een kans verdient is wat mij betreft een zekerheid. Het boek kan zeker dienen als een discussiestarter en komt precies op een goed moment uit.'
‘Our food animal industry results in very great suffering for large numbers of animals and it is logically inconsistent to treasure one animal (the one emotionally close to us) at the cost of other animals being treated inhumanely. To find alternative diets for dogs and cats that do not include meat is very important work and needs to be done.’
‘Dogs do not need to eat animal products to be healthy. They are omnivores who can thrive on a well-balanced plant-based diet. Feeding a nutritious plant-based diet to our canine companions is a simple and powerful way for each of us to positively impact our dogs' health, to help end the unnecessary torture and slaughter of other sentient, feeling animals and to save our planet. I call that a total win.’
‘It’s a wonderful feeling to know we can feed our dogs in a way that supports their best health and happiness, while also supporting the well-being of other species and our planet.’
